Electronic Arts Internship [June 2008 - Aug 2008]

I consider my internship at Electronic Arts to be one of the first major achievements in my professional career. I did everything from coordinate community days for games like Dead Space, to create the swag used as givaways at both conventions and retail copies of the game (pictured to the left).

As my first experience in a major corporation, I learned a great deal from the company. The internship wasn't about getting coffee and making copies, it was about getting down and dirty, giving me real world experience. The hardest part? Telling them I had three more years until I graduated, but I couldn't wait to return the next summer.

Major Responsibilities Included:
-Create and maintain a database containing all contact information for our major media contacts.
-Construct and send press releases to keep the community informed on our titles.
-Organize community days to fly members of the press out to the campus and show them our games.
-Fly to major shows such as San Diego Comic Con to prove EA.com with video content.
-Create and order official swag for Dead Space, including the patch shipped with the special edition of the game.
-Update DeadSpace.com with blogs from the Development team.
